Simbol and Simbolism

I've always dealt well with symbols and symbolism. However, until my late thirties, I only handled everything intuitively, without understanding why I was creating certain images. I used to have a booth in Comic World selling drawings under the name Mixt. The name Mixt contained the principle of creation where various things are mixed together to produce diversity. At that time, I didn't know why I put mushrooms on a crescent moon. Looking back now, it symbolizes the meeting of femininity (crescent moon) and masculinity (mushroom) in creation. However, in my twenties, I couldn't articulate it in words. Now, symbols and symbolism come very naturally to me.
